The Braille Transcription Project of Santa Clara County, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) classified non profit organization. It is staffed by a group of dedicated volunteers with oversight by an uncompensated board of directors.
The Braille Transcription Project of Santa Clara County, Inc. has been transcribing printed materials for the Blind since the early 1950's. The Project provides braille textbooks, free of charge, to blind students enrolled in Santa Clara County schools. In addition to students, the project serves other blind individuals in
Santa Clara County as well.
Thanks to the generosity of The Santa Clara Valley Blind Center, we are co-located at:
101 North Bascom Avenue, in San Jose CA. Our office hours are:
- Mondays - 9:00 am to 3:00pm
- Tuesdays - 9:00 am to Noon
- Wednesdays - 9:00 am to 3:00pm
- Thursdays - 9:00 am to 3:00pm
- Fridays - closed
